No tool is perfect, try to manually adjust selection/mask before moving masked (recommended) image to new document. You can use Select and Mask workspace https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/select-mask.html

Thanks for the screenshot.
But where are the Layers? Did you flatten the image?

Where are the Layers?
In your screenshot the Layers Panel shows only a Background Layer-

I merged all the different things together
Don’t merge the Layers to destroy your individual Layers.
You can certainly touch-up the merged image now but maintaing the layered file makes it easier to make edits in the future.
Did you work with Smart Objects and Layer Masks?
If not please look into those.

Thank you so much! I wish I could get rid of those spiders on the saved picture I sent you. The spider things are all over the picture I just merged now also. I guess practice will make me better. I will look up masks, thank you for being so kind. Have a nice day!! Rebecca
I sent a pic of the picture I just finished.see the lines in the picture.
The other picture I sent you, named Flowers has really bad lines, even on her face. I don't know where they came from but I would like to get them off.
thank you again!! R

If you use Layer Masks you can edit those later on if you notice issues.
If you just have th eflattened image you can still edit that with the Clone Stamp Tool, Brush Tool etc.

Thank you so much, I will check to see if I have it. I may have to start over with the picture and see where the lines come from. They are really bad when you blow the picture up. You are so kind. R

This usually happens when you you the section tool. Did you try to select subject and mask? Then you can tweak areas that might not be perfect.

Hello, thank you so much! I haven't tried the mask, I am watching videos and reading information about masking that was sent to me by someone else. The spider web lines look really awful on what I thought was going to turn out to be a pretty beginner merged picture. Especially when blown up. I appreciate your help and suggestions. I only had 7 days of trial to see if I liked using the tools, I think might be hooked now and want to learn all I can! Again, thank you so much for your suggestions.!! R
