Enable and Disable a menu item at runtime?

Can I disable the menu item for a Filter plugin programmatically?

I'm working on several plugins that work together. They each communicate with a network server. One of the plugins just logs out from the server. I'd like to disable it when my plugins aren't logged in.

I can see how a plugin can be enabled or disabled permanently via the PiPL resource, but I'd like to do it on the fly.

Thanks for your help. -- Mike

A plug-in cannot chnage the menu enable/disable on the fly. You can specify in your EnableInfo a string but it is only based on document mode, size, etc. Things that Photoshop can decide for you.
