Error reading layer "*It this for every layer and layer group in the file*". The document's appearance may be effect. Continue reading the document?

This messege pops up when trying to open the file. When I hit okay it moves on to the next layer. I am affraid to say yes to every single one as this project is huge and my client payed a lot of money for it. It's taken me weeks and I'm almost done with it. Please Help. I'm so scared I'm going to lose everything on this huge file

It doesn't sound good, AFAIK you have 3 choices if this is local saved file (not cloud document):

1) Continue to press OK on every layer message to see if you can successfully open the layered file

2) Open the file holding the modifier keys of OPT/ALT & SHIFT to open the composite/merged (no layers) data

3) Check if you have previous version files or backups of the file
