Extras tab Checked

Hi all, I was working in 3D workspace the other day. After reverting back to Essentials, for some reason

the Extras is always active when opening a new image. I have unchecked it and Ctrl+h, but still shows upon opening an image.

I've also reset Essentials to no avail.

I think that’s normal.

Are you sure it was off for newly opened images previously?

I suppose you could use File > Scripts > Script Events Manager to link an Action with that menu item to the open event if it annoys you a lot.

View > Show > None might provide a different approach, but may not be quite what you are looking for.

AFAIK Extras is always on - but you can go in under "show" and uncheck each individual item you want off, and this is permanent.
