Hi, I understand absolutely nothing in these things, but I guess I need to install this panel to my photoshop folder somehow to create my file's metadata. At this moment when I want to add some file info  fatal error appears "Please run the XMP Panels 4.0 STI first and restart your app".

The problem is - I do not have any XMP folder.

Could you please help me in this issue.

File > File info, is already installed with Photoshop.

When you open it it will be populated with the meta-data from the camera that took the picture (if there is meta-data with the image).

You can add your own information such as Title, Copyright, Keywords and so on, and also captions.

Is this a third-party file info panel that you are attempting to install?

What version of Photoshop? There have been changes over time to how metadata panels are created, with older versions not compatible with current versions of Photoshop.

In addition to Photoshop, you can also use Adobe Bridge to add metadata (or many other Adobe or third-party products).

More specific info would be helpful.

EDIT: A search kicked this up –
