file save error

Hi, I've had problems with photoshop specifically to save files,
to be working with some image and apply save, the error is that it does not exceed 99% and so it remains, I have to force the application closed, I have noticed that this error comes from the last adobe update, I do not know what to do , I have lost more than two projects because of this situation: /

It only happens to me in photoshop, I simultaneously use Illustartor, audition, premier and they have not presented me with a single error, everything worked perfectly. check my hard drives and everything is fine, the error only happens to me with photoshop

You are on Mac right? Which version of OS you are running? Catalina? Where you are trying to save file, on hard drive or external drive?

If I am on Mac, I use Catalina and the files saved on my external Lacie hard drive, which I always use, as I tell you this error is only presented to me in photoshop

For example, I open my existing file (previously created) hard disk, I make some change or edit and if it allows me to save changes, but if it takes a while where it takes longer to edit or after a more extensive edition, the file remains as in the image .

I try to save as another file with a different name on my system hard drive and it does not stop, I need to force my program closed eh I try to open photoshop again and it does not allow me, I need to restart my mac, so that it works again.

I have the same issue since 2 weeks now and it happens even with a simple editing.

The saving progression is stucked at 99%.

I only use at the same time Lightroom Classic.

Hope to have some help on this.

This is a known Catalina issue. There are several pages long posts on here about this.

Catalina is not honoring certain drive formats including NFTS and FAT.

Its not that Photoshop can't write to them, it's that the security updates in Catalina are slowing the writing process to an external down and buffering the Photoshop save.

In the end, you get stuck at 99%, force quit and corrupt the file.

I have the same thing happen saving larger database files out of Excel direct to an external.

BTW - be careful Premiere will also cause the same issues stopping at 88%+ and requiring restart.
