Fill selection with pattern starts at off set

If your selection isn't on the top left of the canvas, and you try to fill it with a pattern, then the pattern isn't filled correctly within my selection. It starts with an offset instead of neatly outlined within the selection.

How can I fix this?

Hi there,

Sorry to learn about this. Would you mind sharing a screenshot of how it looks at your end? Does it happen with a specific pattern?
Could you share some workflow steps, so that we ay try to replicate the problem at our end?

You may try resetting the preferences of Photooshop and see if it helps:

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Regards,
Sahil
