Hi @electricpalmtrees go to your Actions pane and check for "Commands" set.

The "Grow Selection" action is using Shift+F5. Delete it.

Since Photoshop 2019, when loading the Commands actions, users should see a message about the conflict of the keyboard shortcuts.

Go to: system settings / keyboard / keyboard shortcuts / function keys / then toggle on "Use F1, F2, etc.

That did the trick for me.

Hi Everyone - check your Actions panel for a set called "Commands" and remove it - some of those are overwriting the standard keyboard shortcuts.

To all intents I have same set-up, software, etc. My SHIFT+F5 used to work on my new Mac Mini2, but suddenly stopped. Not bee able to fix the problem with SHIFT - it appears that renaming shortcuts no loinger likes SHIFT plus anything - I simply used COMMAND+ replacing the number with smething I never use. Sorry if this is not very succinctly put....
I ended up committing COMMAND+0 to Auto Contentaware Fill after making a Patch Tool selecton. It works, which means I can now work as efficiently as before.
BUT, why do these things change in unexpected ways!!!!!!!????????

solid my friend 🙂 nice outlook to get round it. As a result i have lost my all importantaudio shortcuts doing the fix to get fill to work (but then it decided to not work and instead try some grow thing (a pop up happened) but also i use C4D and disabling audio PLAY, enables timeline PLAY. its a funny odl world isn't it

🙂 thank you for your input:)))))))

interesting your on my wavelength. It's not actually highlighted in the commands as i did check before, it does have most of the other Function keys in there though. How might i be able to check where it's being used in photoshop on a bigger scale (as in the whole shortcut selectinos) ?

I forgot to add. thi si my setup for photoshopping. Mac Studio / Ventura / 24.0.1

You can always go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts and make sure you are set to Default.

Hi

What exact version of Photoshop are you using, Shift + F5 is working fine for me on Windows 11, have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences
