FILL WITH LAST DEFINED PATTERN

Hi,
I check dozens of patterns every day and use "define pattern" first and then "pattern fill" (the pattern preview is inconvenient for me). When I fill the layer with pattern it always shows the first pattern on the list. Is it possible to change the settings in Photoshop so that the fill will be created with the last pattern I made? Selecting from the panel each time takes a lot of time.

I know how to do it with a script, but in this case a script is not the solution.

I know this option was the default in Photoshop 2022 and CS6.

Thank you in advance

It's becaue im looking for another way on this, I am using script right now, but filling the last pattern was a deafult function in older Photosphop and I'm wondering if it could be easily change or the script is one and only solutuion. It's a matter of getting used to do it the old way, not only for me but also for other workers.
