When i print separations- film positives using Photoshop I am having trouble getting the description of each channel to print correctly on each film positive. I choose File<Print and choose Separations under color handling... And i check the labels box so that each channel or sep prints on that film positive... but the text prints as vertical lines... I ran the Photoshop font check tool. All my fonts are ok. Any ideas on what i am doing wrong? In this picture- the film positive should say White Spot Under base instead of random lines. I have never heard of printing seps from Acrobat. Sounds like an unnecessary step. Why not print from Photoshop? that is where i do the seps from... then send them to the RIP (Accurip) and then it sends them to the printer after converting to halftones for screen printing.

I get these too. Perhaps a Windows 10 issue?

Yes i suppose it could be. I use windows 10. It's very frustrating. I use a rip to print the films as well so i would think the rip could make sure the font was printed correctly...

When I save to PDF, it doesn't embed any fonts. Weird.
