Filter gallery greyed out in photo shop while image mode on lab color at 8 bits/channel

Hi I am trying to use filter gallery to use glowing edges whilst on image mode lab color. It will work if on RGB 8 bits but not lab color 8 bits. The option is just filter gallery is just greyed out. Please help.

Help yourself by switching to RGB color mode if you want to use Filter Gallery, its not bug on your side, nothing to do about it.

It did work when I first tried it following a video but when I realised I
hadn't duplicated the photo in the beginning I exited out and tried again
and it wont work .

I would like it in lab color as I would like to use the lightness function to help with noise.
