Hi, using the filter lighting effects does not work.
right after opening the filter, the workspace turns into solid white or black. No handles are displayed. Moving the selectors does not have any visible effect. Even if you click ok to apply the filter, the layer generated will be solid white.
I use a MBP 14" M1Pro, Monterey 12.1, PS 23.1.1
I imagine this has something to do with all 3D features being removed from Ps. The filter should have already been removed, but for some reason they're keeping it in the app with this warning:
@Sahil.Chawla The Filter is no longer supported in Ps since it runs on the 3D engine.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear that. Are you running Photoshop under the Rosetta emulation mode?
Could you try resetting the preferences of Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Hi Oliver
thanks for your reply and pointing this out. Might be worthwhile to read again the specs of the latest version ... Difficult to keep up with all the changes recently.
Best regards

Photoshop 2020 v 21.2.12 has the working Render Filter. If you still have it installed, you can use that version. I tend to keep older versions for surprises like favorite features that are often discontinued.
If you don't have it, you can download the installer from ProDesign Tools.

In this case they will tell you how to contact Customer Care for the download.
