Has anyone experienced a large grey area appearing/flashing over the application window when the transform tools is used, or when the entire image (all layers) is moved?
I'm not 100% sure what you are describing. Could you post a screen shot?
Having said that, a couple of things you could try…
1. Reset the Photoshop Preferences

"Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop."

Hi, you can get this when your system graphics power is low if not try to update your driver for this.....regards

Thanks Michael. Deleting the current settings on restart solved the issue. Reorganized my windows in about 3 minutes. Helpful tip.
