So I receive templates from someone using PS CC 2021, same as me, Adobe Fonts, same as me, working on Mac, same as me, but everytime I click the text to edit, it changes it's style, I can't find a workaround for this problem and is driving me crazy, here's an example, original on the left, how it looks as soon as I click on it on the right. It only happens with certain fonts, in this case it's Montserrat from Adobe Fonts.

It looks like one is Bold (or Fake Bold) and the other is not. Can you click an insertion point in the text and show a screen shot of the Character panel with the text? It would be helpful if we could see a similar screenshot from the other person as well.

Hi Jane, here you go, as I said we both have oficially downloaded Adobe Photoshop CC 2021 and both using Adobe Fonts. The above image is mine and the other one from my coworker.

Hi @Iacuzzi
Can you show another screenshot of both computers:

I've already tried reinstalling but nothing works, installing from google fonts either.
I'll leave a screenshot from my computer (above) and from a coworker's (bottom)

Also, I see a message that says "Font is present on system but requires a layout change"

The characters look the same, when adjusted for the different size screenshots, but the kerning looks different. Try putting the cursor between each letter and check the kerning values.

The weights are completely different, look at the example I linked in the text, it's from the same computer, same zoom. Mine looks a lot thinner than the original, it's like my font is a complete stop thinner, my bold looks almost as the original semibold.

In the bolder one, do you have TT (Faux Bold) selected?

Nope, even if I (thinner) select faux bold it doesn't make it not even close as bold as my coworker's one. I genuinenly don't know what else to think.

Try this with a text document, use Word or TextEdit and see if the fonts change.

Above is PS, below TextEdit, both at 80p and 100% zoom, looks bolder on TextEdit, what do you think?

Your letterspacing is way different. Although I meant to create a file on the one computer and move it to the other and see what happens.

Yeah I know it's different, There's another comment where i placed a screenshot of the two computers on photoshop with the exact same settings showing. What would you consider if the word/text document were to show different as well (or not)? I don't know if I can get that file right now, will try to get it though.

If it happens in a text document then its not Photoshop, you have a font mismatch.

How could that be if we are both using only adobe fonts?

Any chance a stroke was applied as a layer style?

Nope, no style was applied on that text layer. I uploaded the pictures you requested on the other comment, just in case you didn't see them.

What happens when you print (hide the colored background layers) and hold the two pieces of paper up to a light? Do you see a difference in the printed document?

I don't have a printer right now, what would that mean?

Comparing the two printed documents would let you determine if the issue is on-screen only or if it still exists in print.

The thing is that we do only digital work, I need it to work properly on screen only

This is a tough one.
Are there other computers you can try it on?
Also, I just noticed the Zoom level is not the same on the two screen shots. What does it look like at 100% on each?

We are both at 100% zoom (as you can see at the lower part), but we have different screen sizes so there it shows different. It's not a size thing, but a shape and thickness one. Yeah I don't know what to do, I tried reinstalling both PS and the fonts but nothing changed. I've seen numerous people with the same issue and no solution was given, I don't know.
