Hi there

I have created a frame animation out of several digital drawings, all on their own layers. It all turns out how I want it when I press play. But then, when I add a new frame somewhere in between the others to add another drawing, my new drawing suddenly appear on all my frames instead of just that one. What am I missing?

Let me explain my steps:

To create the new frame (between existing frames 2 and 3), I click on frame 2 and duplicate the selected frame. I click on the new frame (3), then go to my layers menu and create a new layer and turn on its visibility. I then draw a red line on this new layer. Now, when I press play in the timeline window, the red line appears on all my frames.

Hope somebody can help.

Thanks.

Hi there,

It seems to be working as expected, whenever you create a new layer and add something to, the content of the new layer appears on every frame of the timeline. You have to click on the first frame of the timeline then turn the new layer off by clicking on the eye icon near the layer. Then click on the frame where you want the new content to start appearing from and turn the new layer back on.

Hope this helps,

You added a new layer and it is in all frames because you have checked new layer appears in all frames checked in the frame animation time line fly-out menu.  un-check that option, delete the layer you added then add your layer then add a new frame to your animation where you want the new layer visible as a frame. make it the only layer visible in that new frame.
