GPU crashing, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU

New Here ,

GPU problem.   Relatively new HP with NVIDIA GeForce laptop GPU.   Editing photos every time I use masking something crashes and I get a popup telling me the GPU has been disabled and I can no longer use masking nor denoise and often the system locks up.  May happen on the first use or the second or third but if I edit several photos, sooner or later it happens.

Restart and the problem goes away but comes back.

Checked and I think I have the latest drivers for the NVIDIA.   Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi @skipmacfl! 👋 Welcome to the community!

For your NVIDIA GPU, do you have Game Ready or Studio drivers installed? Generally, Studio drivers are recommended for Photoshop since they're considered more stable.

Could you go to Help > GPU Compatibility and send a screenshot of the report dialog that opens? Also, could you share your System Info? You can find it under Help > System Info. Just copy the info to a text file and attach it to your response.

Another thing to try is testing out some of the solutions for GPU issues here: https://adobe.ly/4aGbd1P

Thank you!

Blimey!  How long has that been there?  That's going to be a useful tool.
