Gradient editor problem is back

Contributor ,
Jul 11, 2020 Jul 11, 2020

This problem has returned with PS 21.2: When we add a gradient fill layer and make an edit in the Gradient Editor it is no longer possible to move the location of the gradient.

I would appreciate any info about.

I can confirm this that if you edit the gradient by changing the stops (for example) you then cannot change the position of the gradient by dragging on the image itself. I have to confess I don't know if you ever could once you changed something like the stops before. If you make the gradient and accept it without changing the stop positions, then reopen the gradient, I can change the position of it then. It seems only if you adjust the stops that you can't then edit the gradient position. I haven't found a work around for this yet.

Thanks for your response Glenn,

"If you make the gradient and accept it without changing the stop positions, then reopen the gradient, I can change the position of it then." Yes, that´s correct. This is let's say the only work aroundfor now 😞

On the other hand, this problem occurs when you do anything in the editor: select a preset, type of gradient, etc, of course when you edit the stops as well.

Best regards.
