I dont understand why i suddenly can t chose the colors i need in the gradient tool 

I can only chose in the pre selected colors but it's not what i need 

 

what happened ? how to be able to slect my own colors again please

Great! I was using version 22 because I didn't like the new gradient tool. Now I can go back to using version 23. Thanks for the answer.

I've upgraded to 2024 and clicking Classic Gradient has no effect whatsoever. I can't seem to choose my own colors but only use the preselected ones.

Can you show us a screen shot of your workspace?  

 

While we should be able to sort out your immediate question, I'd urge you to take the time to learn the new gradient tool.  It is much more powerful, and really doen't have a steep learning curve.

When you select "Classic Gradient" from the tool bar at the top, click on the window next to it to adjust your colors. Don't click on the arrow. After clicking on the window, the Gradient Editor comes up. Click on the little swatches on both sides of the bar to select your colors.
