Group Tab automatically opens

Explorer ,
Nov 17, 2016 Nov 17, 2016

Hey everyone,

quick question, I've searched through forums and google for this answer but I cant seem to find a solution, which Im sure its probably a simple fix.

Whenever I select an element or object that is in a group folder, the folder tab opens up which is a bit of pain when I'm selecting multiple groups because they all open up. My question is, I would like that the only way the group tab to opens, is if I click the expanding triangle.

Thanks guys!

Cheers

As far as I know, that's just how it works. But how about creating a keyboard shortcut to Collapse all Groups when you are done with that particular edit?

The only reason why its something Im searching a solution for, is because prior to updating to cc finally, thats the way my "groups" functioned. I never worried about the groups opening up, especially when selecting multiple items from multiple groups. I would rather not use a keyboard short cut, only because, like I said, its how Photoshop previously functioned for me.

If there isint a choice, of course this would be something I would adopt, I just rather Photoshop not automatically open my groups. Thanks you, I appreciate the response.

Ah, I just tested in CC 2015 and see what you are saying. If it were me I'd report it to Adobe via this form: Photoshop Family Customer Community , under problems or questions.
