Hello everyone, this is the first time I have made a post in this place, sorry about my English,
I would like to know if there is a way to put guides inside folders in Photoshop and have
different guides but that they are only seen when activating one folder or another.
Thanks in advance.
If you'd like to have guides that you could hide, you could make a line or a shape on a layer that would serve as a guide. With Smart Guides turned on (View > Show > Smart Guides--when there's a checkmark in the menu, that means they're on), you can align other content to the content on those layers. When you turn off the visibility for a layer (that has a line or a shape that you want to use like a guide) by clicking on the eyeball icon, then other content won't align to that layer.

Instead of "folders", do you mean "Layers"? The answer is No, you can't put guides on different layers in Photoshop, although you can in both Illustrator and InDesign. It's a great idea!

Thanks Jane, yes layers could be too, what I need is to put guides on layr 1 differents of layer 2. But apparently I can't. Thanks again

You're welcome. In addition, when guides on a layer, locking the layer locks the guides that are on it (in Illustrator and InDesign).

This is possible with Artboards (so we now have canvas guides and artboard guides), but not with Layers or Layer Groups.
