Guides not showing up

I am using the latest version of Photoshop and Windows 10.

I pull out a guide and it randomly disappears. I try and move the guide and it also disappears.

Attached a screenshot of what's happening. For some reason my cursor isn't showing up in the screenshot, but it's in the middle where it shows the X coordinate.

This is making it impossible to snap the guide to the center of the image which is quickly becoming very frustrating.

This has only started happening since the newest update of Photoshop, though the guides had issues even before then with not pulling out correctly but at least they showed up then.

Not much going on here from Adobe so will update from my latest findings, have realised now that when I thought my guides were working again I'd opened PS2019 which is still on my PC.

Tonight I did the latest update but still no guides visible in PS2020, I've had to enable the "Use Graphics Processor" setting in my Performance preferences so I guess it's a RAM issue even although I have 16GB of RAM on my PC.

Have you tried resetting your preferences? Preferences often get messed up with a new install.

Unfortunately, I cannot reset my preferences. An Adobe support agent tricked me into resetting my preferences recently after I explained to them that I can NOT reset them. I have them set up very specifically and am still finding things I need to fix with them after they messed them all up. 😕😕
