I've figured out how to add some guides (so the operators can double check the work the script did) but I've not found a way to "read" the existing guides that are already in a file.
Is there nothing?
Many thanks,
Ken

There is no way to read guide locations from within a script. Drawn lines/paths have been used as a substitute by some scripters.

What a shame. I thought of the paths and started to look into how to script them but I have another solution to my problem which will be for me the path of least resistance (yuck, yuck--sorry).
Thanks very much for confirming.

I posted a snippet at http://ps-scripts.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2818 that shows how one can deternine info about guides if you first save the doc as a psd.
It needs to be fleshed out to be useful but it does show the basic outline and does gives alerts about the guides.
