My healing brush and clone stamp no longer work.  Only 1 layer, so no layer issue.  Alt-click to set target, but preview of brush is solid white and using the brush does nothing.

Any ideas?

OK, I just tried this on another computer and was getting same problem, so I knew it had to be something in the document itself.  For posterity...

Common problems but not the case for me:

The layer had no pixel lock

Nothing was selected

The mode of the tool was Normal (not overlay, screen, multiply, etc.)

Could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Is there a Selection active (try Select > Deselect)?

Here's a screenshot and arrow showing where I am trying to clone/heal.  The video shows it best though--you can see me clicking and trying to brush over the blemish with nothing happening.  Also the brush preview is normally showing the sampled pixels, but for me now it is only showing a solid white.

As you can see from the history pallet, nothing is selected.  There's only one layer, so it's not a sampling issue.  Also the tool's mode is normal, so it's not an issue of screen/multiply/etc. of the tool itself...
