Hi
In the latest version of Photoshop CC2018 the healing brush tool is very slow responding, when can we exspect problem being fixed?

I have the same exact issue. It leaves a black circle, the same size as the brush, where you click, for several seconds, before finally applying the effect. Using the tool now to remove dust from product shots is basically useless. Have the latest iMac with the highest end specs plus 48gigs of ram. worked perfectly before update. In same cases it seems to think I have dragged the tool in between clicks, when in fact I have not.

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Hi
I am not seeing any issues with it here.
Can you be more specific about your system and the problem?

I have win 10 64bit and Wacom Pro M
I am not sure how to describe it other than when using it in CC2017 it responded immediately, now it is like it is lagging

I just noticed that after reseting it works. But the issue seems to pop up every time I use the dust/scratches filter and then try to use the spot healing brush.

Interesting, but there is obviously some bug there, it worked almost ok for awhile but then it was back to lagging.

I have the same question. While using brush tool after coursor goes pink line and then after that goes stroke. It's slow.
It appeared right after update. Yesterday.

The pink line is the "leash" used when the new brush smoothing is enabled. You can vary the amount of smoothing in the options bar and use the drop down many to adjust how smoothing works

Hi
I am not seeing the problems here that you and others are. However, this is a user to user forum, so we are limited in how we can help.
I suggest you add your experience to the thread add the link below which is being joined monitored by Adobe staff.

Dave, just curious, what system are you running on?
I've fought with the problem all day and gave up. Reverted back to CC 2017.

CC2018 on Windows 10 v1709 on a PC with 64GB Ram and AMD79703GB GPU.
I don't doubt there is a problem, from all the posts. I just can't reproduce it here.

Hi Dave
Are you using a Wacom tablet? I am wondering if that could be the problem?
BTW, is there another thread about LR CC Classic, that update is almost as bad, I say almost because LR has been very bad for a long where PS was not.

Can confirm. Healing brush in 2018 is so super slow I am reinstalling 2017 now. I use healing brush all day long, and in 2018 it's so slow that PS is completely unusable for me. It's not just a little slow, it's super super slow. I couldn't get through an 8 hour work day with this.

Same here. Healing is superslow. If you click faster than healing, brush act like you have shift pressed, making line btwn points.

This is a known issue now. The healing brush tool lag. There are several threads here now that all have this same issue, and another where brushes lag with smoothing turned on.

Glad you guys fixed it. Unfortunate the software is so buggy that you need to include the link for updates not showing correctly. Already attempting Solution 4, hoping I don't need to reinstall.
