Help creating a seamless pattern

I have has so many issues with trying to create seamless pattern in photoshop.

I finally got my preview window to work.Here is what I'm working on:

How do i duplicate these flowers to place in the blank areas of this pattern?

Use the Move tool, and Alt+Drag, which moves a copy. You should see a double, black/white arrow cursor.

Illustrator is great for creating repeating patterns quite easily. Could you use this instead of Photoshop? Your content looks like simple vector shapes which would also work well in Illustrator.
