Help! disappearing tool

I was just trying to select an element on a page, and I wasn't sure which tool to use. I opted for the Magic Wand. When I clicked on it, another tool was available to select. I decided NOT to use the Wand--and now the other tool has vanished. I don't even remember what tool it was.

Yikes!

How do I get it back (whatever it was)? Thank you!

Press w, that's the default wand tool shortcut. Besides it, see the tool that is selected, hold on the tool, there's probably a small triangle in the right bottom of the tool selected, on the tool bar, this triangle means that there are more similar tools grouped. Hold the tool and see which other tools appear, select the one that best fits your needs. You can try shift+w either, to walk through some of the select tools.
