help with changing color

Completely new to PS, just wondering if there is a way to change the color of a single pixel to other colors using the hex code. That way I can select any hex color and change a bunch of pixels at once. So in my mind, the program will find all the pixels that have the color, e.g(#123A4B) and then i can simply replace it by entering whatever hex colors i want to use. If not possible, are there simple alternatives that can produce roughly the same quick results?

appreciate any help

You can select a single pixel using Magic Wand tool (zoom in very close so that you can see individual pixels) and once you select it you can use Edit > Fill and choose any colour you want by using "Color" option which opens a colour picker.

you can use the select by color range dialog box to select a specific color value, and from that same dialog you can add more colors or subtract, when done, you can apply masks and do adjustments layers to change the color

want to share the image so we can help you more?

in photoshop you want to work the least destructive way using masks and adjustment layers. so you can continue to edit things as you need to going forward.

I tried doing this and ran into a lot of problems.  When I try to select the pixel, it actually seems to select a bunch of pixels, but then when I let go of the mouse, all of them go away.  So I don't actually end up selecting anything.   I am trying to color a bunch of transparent pixels white.  There are probably about 30 pixels.  Isn't there a way to choose a white color and then just drop it into those pixels?
