Help with problem Combining two images

New Here ,
Jun 27, 2023 Jun 27, 2023

Hello, I am using PS cc v 24.6.0. I cannot combine two images using the move tool. I can do it stacking images, i can do it copy and pasting, but the move tool just shows the original image when I drag the other image to its tab and produces no new layer. I have deleted and reloaded PS, I have reset preferences, I had edited Regedit enableLUA to 0 but no effect. I have tried using PS on the laptop as well as on the PC but same result. Another site suggested removing the photo rotation values. I have moved and tried using different photos, different directories, drive and pen drive.. My laptop and pc are I7 win11 64 machines.

Any help and advice would gretly be appreciated

Ashley

I think you are saying you have images in two documents and are trying to put them into one? If you drag onto the other tab and release, nothing happens. Instead, you need to drag onto the other tab > don't release > and drag down before releasing the mouse.

Tip: Add the Shift key to center the image before you release the mouse.
