New actions don't create history states after the inital setting for "history states" (100/200) etc and stepping "forward" "backward" is therefore doesn't function.
I was going to report the Gradient tool/option color selector thing... but you said it was addressed in another post. I just updated to the latest version day before yesterday and I can tell you it's NOT fixed.
Also I have constant random "hang up" crashes when ever using any pressure sensitive tool. been like this ever since I installed. Can't find a solution for it anywhere. I've tried everything. Nothing fixes it. dodge, burn, smudge, history, pencil, brush... anything that tracs a tablet and pressure hangs up the program to unrecoverable. as many as 20 times a day I have to force quit and restart.
Needless to say it's incredibly frustrating.

An undo bug was fixed in the latest 24.1.1 release, does that fix the problem?

I was on 24.1.0. So far it seems like 24.1.1 seems to have fixed it. and the gradient issue.
Now please fix the render tools thing because that has me FRUSTRATED and destroys my workflow and productivity. I use PSD to make paintings and these stall crashes are crippling.

What tablet do you use? Did you check for updated drivers?
I have two Wacoms on my M1 mac on the latest PS and they both work fine.
If you have currnet drivers:
1. Try resetting your preferences (Preferences/General and click the reset button).
2. Go to Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details here. It wont show right away - the Mods have to release it for us.

A few years ago in this forum someone posted this same problem and found that this worked:
-Edit> Keyboard Shortcuts
-Select "Photoshop Default Set"
-Relaunch Photoshop
Not sure if that only worked in the most current version of that year tho.
