How can I permanently hide the Recent files background when Photoshop starts. Escape key gets rid of it but it comes back. How can I hide this wretched clutter?

Hi Lee,

Try quitting Photoshop and then run it as Administrator. Go to the Start button, type "Photoshop" and look for the program in the results list. Right click, and choose "Run as Administrator." You might need to enter an administrator password depending on your system settings.

Let us us know if that helps.

EDIT: I just noticed "0 days left in trial." If you're using a trial version, that might have something to do with it (although that doesn't seem likely).

Without any documents open, go to Photoshop preferences and under the General tab tick Show "Start" Workspace ...

I have unticked Show "Start" Workspace under the General tab  and restarted Photoshop and it is still displaying Start screen with all recent photos. I don't have Start-button on Mac and don't see option of running as admin anywhere. I run on version 21.1.0 in Creative Suit.
