How do I add an lcp file to Photoshop CC?

Participant ,

I have bought a Samyang F2.8/14mm lens. I have downloaded a lens profile from Samyang for the lens and my camera <(Canon EOS 77D (Samyang AF 14mm f2.8 EF).lcp>, but I don't know what to do with it. I am a Mac user. I have found Application Support>Adobe>CameraRaw>LensProfiles, but there are no other lens profiles in that folder as far as I can see. There is only a document Index.dat, and a folder 1.0 that contains a document pscache.dat . Looking at that document with TextEdit, it seems to be a concatenation of lens profiles, but I am wary of altering it in any way. I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks!

/Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0

is the correct location to put the profile. There may not be any profiles there since that is just the user folder.

The profiles that ship with camera raw are in the hard drive library.

Hi Jeff,

I am also having this problem. I'm trying to install the .lcp for my Laowa 9mm f2.8. I've found the CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0 folder, and there are already a bunch of folders full of .lcp's for a wide range of lenses, but most of those don't display in Lightroom CC or CameraRaw. Similarly, I tried adding the Laowa 9mm .lcp to the "Third Party" folder, and also direction to the "1.0" folder, but without success.

How do I get Lightroom CC and/or CameraRaw to load this .lcp?

Thanks,

Max

Sounds like your looking at the CameraRaw folder in the hard drive library.

(top level Library)

You want to put the .lcp for my Laowa 9mm f2.8 in your User Library

/Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0

You can get to your User Library by clicking on your desktop, in the Go menu click Go To Folder and paste

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0
