How do I lock brush position in the brushes menu?

New Here ,
Mar 21, 2023 Mar 21, 2023

In the most recent versions of Photoshop, I accidentally and consistently move the brushes around when I go to click on one of them. In previous versions, the brushes had fixed positions in the menu that I could set, allowing for easy access. Because the brushes can now be shifted around by accident, working in the program has become extremely frustrating as I never know where to find the brush that I need.

If your workspace (Window > Workspace) is set to one of the default workspaces that includes the Options bar (Window > Options), then you can find the brushes there in the upper right. Otherwise, the Brushes panel may be in a different location based on the selected workspace. You can dock it where you'd like to customize its location and save that as a custom workspace (Window > Workspace > New Workspace...). Here's more information about workspaces:

There is no way to lock them unfortunatly, I am super frustrated by this as well, its a total downgrade from the previous version. Please Adobe, add a lock option to the brush menu so that we can't move them around by mistake.
