In MangaStudio a similar software, I am able to make a selection and apply it to all layers.
For example if I have an image with an apple and a banana and my layers are like this:-
1)one layer for line art work,
2) another layer for color
3) and another layer for texture
What I want to acheive is select half the banana with the selection tool and scale that part of the image, but I want it to look right by applying the scaling to all my layers.
I hope my question is clear.
If this is not possible is there a workaround?
Maybe you can marge your layers as a Smart Object (Select three Layers and with wight mouse Button choose Convert To Smart Object Command) then you can easily select any part of your mage (all layers) and transform it.
Before you transform selected part of image you can move it to new separate layer. Just:

I will assume you are in Photoshop?
1: Select your layers you want to control in the layers panel
2: Right click on any of the selected layers
3: Choose 'Link Layers' from the menu
In some cases depending on your setup you can simply group them as well and select the group and make any changes.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply Brad, yes Photoshop.
I will try this when I get home but I think what you suggested only allows for changing the whole layers not a part of it.
So if I have an apple and banana sharing the same (Iineart, Color, Texture) layers, Can I choose to scale up the apple alone by making a selection that is applied to all layers. Or is the only way to do this is to combine all layers (lineart, color, texture) into one layer then make a selection for the apple and then scaling it up.

Hi, I see that this post is from a while ago but I still can't find a satisfactory answer to this. The problem with this is that the new selection has all of its layers merged, so (using the analogy above) wanted to adjust the texture of the apple after making it larger, I wouldn't be able to without affecting all of the other stuff on the image. Is there a way to do transform the selection while keeping the multiple layers intact?

If anyones still having this problem. Theres a photoshop plugin for PS CC that lets you transform a selection of layers without baking them. https://kritskiy.gumroad.com/l/factory?layout=profile
Super helpful.
