I have the current version of Photoshop (24.6) and the Beta version installed. Even if I have last saved a file in the current version, if I double-click the icon for that file, it will open in the Beta version. I have to first open the current version, then navigate to and open a file. Is there a way to assign the current version as the default version so that double-clicking an icon opens 24.6 and not Beta?

The last installed will take over file associations. This is standard and normal Windows behavior.
