Hello, does anyone know how to change the font size in the menu and also tools size in Photoshop? I just got a 4K display for Windows PC and everything is very small.
UI scaling for Windows was only introduced into the Cloud version of Photoshop in version CC 2014.
There won't be any UI scaling available for non-Cloud versions. You'll have to lower the resolution of your monitor.
I just found a solution for Adobe CS5, and wanted to share. For context, I recently got a laptop with an inbuilt 4K display, and the text/icons in Photoshop were far too small to be usable. The registry hack did not work for me, but I found the below did - not to mention was much simpler.
1. Go to the executable Photoshop file (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit))
2. Right click on it, and select 'Properties'
3. On the 'Compatibility' tab, click 'Change Settings for All Users'
4. Cl

And no one has ever seemed to notice that this hack scales everything up, including the image. In other words, it turns your high resolution display (that you presumably paid good money for) into an ordinary low resolution one.
Proper 4K support came in Photoshop CC2014 (with considerable improvements later on). It scales only the UI, while maintaining high resolution in the image window.

Thank you! I recently purchased a new XPS and a large screen monitor and found I could not read the workspace texts in my Adobe products. Shortly before Adobe switched everything to a subscription service I had invested in the entire CS6 Suite. (Academic version as I was taking classes at a local college) I'm in my seventies so do not need the latest and greatest programs/apps. I mostly use Dreamweaver and Photoshop and edit the occasional video in Premiere. But on this new system I was unable to read the workspace texts, as they were tiny. Changing the default resolution (3840x2160) did not help. Increasing the system display scale did help some but the text was too blurry.
Your solution worked amazingly well and was quite easy. I then reset the scale on the monitor to 200% and the text is now larger, not blurred and legible. Thank you so much for a workable solution for those of us still clinging to our older programs. I would never have figured this out on my own!

Thank you, that worked. I changed it to 175% and reduced the font size in Windows and it worked.
