How To Deselect A Path?

Explorer ,
Mar 24, 2018 Mar 24, 2018

Hi,

How does one deselect a path without using a pen/path/shape tool or going to the paths pallet?

Is it there, or is it possible to create, a keystroke to do this?

In Illustrator there is a Deselect All option, is there a similar in Photoshop?

On on a Mac, PS CC 2018

Record an action and assign a hotkey to it.

Thanks JJ.

And am I correct to assume that the step you recorded in your action was to  click on empty space in the Paths Pallet?

cmd-clicking the path icon in the Paths Panel should also work.

That’s just what I was looking for! I couldn’t find it for looking. I was clicking on the image, never thought about the panel menu.  Many thanks.
