HI,
Are you trying to add fonts to Photoshop, or embed fonts in a Photoshop document? If you are embedding fonts, here is an article I found that might be helpful: https://www.printivity.com/insights/embed-photoshop/
Let us know if that helps or if you still have a question.

Hi, thank you. I want to embed fonts in a Photoshop document for printing. I have found this article but wanted to double check that keeping the text layer is the way to do it as my printing company advised me to covert the fonts to outlines or rasterise the font layer. Any advice please? Many thanks

What file type are you sending to your printer? If it's a PSD file, you should just rasterize the layer. You can't convert to outlines in PS - that happens in Illustrator and InDesign. Text isn't great to print from Photoshop, you should consider using Illustrator or InDesign for documents with text.

You can't "embed fonts in Photoshop" - it isn't even a concept. But sometimes you can embed fonts in graphics.
- If you save a raster image (BMP, JPEG, PNG etc. ), the fonts are converted to dots, and you might say they are embedded. They can't be edited, and the people viewing the file don't need the font.
- If you save a PDF, then Photoshop might convert to dots, or it might not. If a font is needed, it is embedded in the PDF.
- A font cannot be embedded in a native Photoshop file (PSD or PSB). To edit the file, the needed fonts must be installed on the system (not installed just in Photoshop, there is no such idea).

To embed fonts in Photoshop, convert text to shapes, or rasterize layers for preservation. For editable text, save it as PSD with fonts installed. For PDFs, use "Save As" and check "Embed Fonts" in settings.
