how to fill the empty part of image with same color effect

How do i fill the empty part of this image with the same colour effect. I tried gradient tool but i cannot get the black part entirely in the empty area. Is there an way we can do it. I would appreciate if anyone can give me step by step explanation.

I did try content aware fill for a part of the image:

But the results are not very predictable.You could use the stamp tool with a soft brush and copy from the parts of the picture with the desired colours.

This is the result when using Edit > Transform > Warp and nothing else. The selection of the warp source and distortion of the selection is takes a few trials. The result above requires some Cloning (the tail connection) but this should get things started. Put the contour line of the hind end on a separate layer before beginning.
