I noticed today that if you create a text layer, type asterisk (*) and press space, Photoshop seems to create a bullet point list. Pressing enter creates a second asterisk and so on. However, it does not seem to be possible to get rid of the asterisk any more. Even when copying the text (the asterisk can't be selected), and pasting the text in a new text layer, Photoshop starts a bullet point list again. Is there a way around this?
Using PS 25.6.0 on Windows 10.

When you want this to stop, you can highlight the next line and use the Paragraph panel "reset paragraph". Does that help?

When you press enter and the second asterix appears, press enter again, and the second asterix will disappear. You can then go back and delete the first asterix if that's what you want to do.

This does not seem to work, when I press enter the 2nd time, the 2nd asterisk disappears as you said, but when I go back with the cursor to the first asterisk in the line above, it still won't let me select it and I cannot delete it.

Sorry, you are right. When I tested (in beta 2581) it looked like I was able to delete all the way back to the first asterisk, and I left it that. When I checked again just now, and tried entering new text, the first asterisk reappeared.
Sorry for misleading you.

That did the trick, thanks. I really wish this was documented better!
