Did you enable »Allow Tool Recording«?

But keep in mind that the Brush Tool’s settings need to be part off the Action if the result should be identical.

Thanks for that. I realized I was going in the wrong direction.

What I need is to make an action that would take a action after each pull of brush. And the action would be (making a new layer) and (placing a layer style on that layer such is Drop Shadow and Bevel & Emboss)

My goal is to get a small 3d effect with shades and shine on every brush stroke.

I know that it will be a lot of layers, but that's not a problem now.

The video below is what should happen only it's a problem because I do not have to click on the action button or on the keyboard shortcut for that action or shortcut on the graphic tablet for that action.

Thanks

i really think you are going about this the wrong way. You can create a style and apply it.

If the Strokes are sharp-edged one could also include Paths in an Action.

If you create an Action (New Layer, apply Layer Style) you might be able to use File > Script > Script Events Manager to link it to the Brush Tool, so that the Action is automatically run after each Brush Stroke.
