How to post "Your Image" in to a PSD Template (PSDT)?

Community Beginner ,

I have joined Adobe Stock and downloaded some PSDT files in order to make use of varying effects, however I am unable to insert my image in to the templates.

How do you do this? These files do not come with instructions.

Yes thank you and this works, however my images are way to large.

In Templates Smart Object content need to be replaced with objects that are the same Size, Aspect Ratio and Resolution as the object in the Template sothat  the Smart Object Layer Object transform works correctly. The Transform which may also warp the object is not replaced or changes when The Layers Object Content is Replace or the object is edited. If you want to use different size images you need to open the Template's Smart Object Layer's objects for update and edit your replacement content into the existing object without changing the sized of the opened object. You need to fit your replacement into the existing Object canvas.

What is the significant difference between .psd and .psdt? Are not they the same?

Edit: opening file is changed to newly created document but with content of .psdt.
