How do I rename the channel mixer layer to something besides channel mixer 1?

If you want to rename the Channel Mixer adjustment layer when first making it you can go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Channel Mixer which will display a New Layer dialog where you can name the layer.

 

 

 

 

 

If you want to rename the Channel Mixer or any layer you can also just double click the name in the layers panel, which highlights the name, type a new name then press enter on your keyboard.
