How to rotate canvas in the Select and Mask interface?

In normal mode you can hold down R and drag the mouse to rotate the canvas, however in Select and Mask R if the refine hair brush tool so this doesn't work. I can use my MacBook trackpad to rotate with 2 fingers, however it's a bit clunky and doesn't work as well as when you hold R in the normal mode.

Is there a keyboard shortcut I can press and hold to rotate the canvas like normal?

I tried changing the keyboard shortcut and to see if that would let me access the Rotate View tool in Select and Mask, but it doesn't appear to be available in that mode.

If you rotate the canvas before entering Select and Mask mode, then the rotation is maintained.
