There is no 32 bit version of Photoshop 2020 it 64 Bit only.  Mac stopped supporting 32Bit applications quite a while ago.  Windows Photoshop  Prior version 2020 had both 32 Bit and 64 bit installers.  The 32bit install can use old 32 bit plug-ins the have no 64 bit versions. However, Adobe made changes in Photoshop Plug-in support  in Creative Cloud CS6 where 32 plug-in like Adobe Optional CS5 Plug-ins Web Phot gallery and Picture Packager that ran in perpetual CS6 do not function  in Creative Cloud versions of photoshop including CS6 13.1.2.   Some Photoshop features require GPU and 64bit support. So all 32bit version of Photoshop are old Photoshop and all Photoshop Features will not available.

Your question is vague and could refer to two things.

First, you could mean a 32 bit application. The current version of of Photoshop is 64 bit and requires a 64 bit OS. You can't get around that.

The second meaning could be 32 bits/channel images. These always run with reduced functionality, and many filters are disabled as they were not written for 32 bit linear gamma images. However, outside of HDR and 3D rendering, 32 bits are rarely required. The answer is to switch to 16 bits/channel once you have completed the render.

Hi, I was reading this post. Even if it is old, I was actually thinking:
What about working with ACES? It's all 32-bit by default, which is the standard for the movie industry.
If I had to change something in Photoshop, I would have big problems because I can't use many tools.
I would have to convert the image into 16bit/channel, work on it, and then convert it back to 32bit, with a visible loss of colors.
Why can't I work natively in 32bit if I have an EXR file from a sequence?
