Here is the template I downloaded.

I want to start with Template 6.

Is there a tutorial you can point me on how to use it?

Go to the artboard in question.

 

Double click on the embedded smart object layer in question [YOUR IMAGE HERE].

 

In the new document window that opens, place linked or place embedded your image above the [PLACEHOLDER] group.

 

You can delete the [PLACEHOLDER] group if you like, it has served its purpose.

 

Close and save this smart object .psb file to update the layer in the template.
