...of one day receiving a fully-functional piece of software that doesn't constantly have us having to roll back to a previous versions of adobe products because the newest one has more bugs than the last. Having fun with the Photoshop undo glitch this morning where if hitting undo macro too quickly, it undoes the last 10 minutes of work and this cannot be fixed or undone. But it keeps me warm at night knowing Adobe will gladly take thousands from us annually while not fixing this very basic quality of life issues and their only advice is always "cHeCk YoUr PrEfErEnCes!"

What undo glitch? Haven't heard of any. Certainly no undo glitch here.

@dbb_design

Please tell us your exact version of Photoshop. You may need to upgrade your version.

This was an issue in December 2022. See this thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-undo-history-is-not-functioning-as-it-shou...

It was fixed in January 2023 in 24.1.1.

it claims it was fixed in 24.1.1, but we're still getting it in Adobe 2024. Someone else literally was posting about it using 25.6 in here just the other day.

using undo too quickly forces you back about 10 minutes in your history, and it's a permanent change. unless you've saved in the last 10 minutes, all those changes are lost.

»check your perferences«? Don’t you mean »reset your preferences«?

Can you reproduce the issue at will?

Could you please post screenshots  with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, History, Options Bar, …) visible?

What is your History States Preferences setting?

If this happens is the History Panel empty?

What do you mean by »undo macro«? The shortcut cmd-Z?
