Hello,

My wife is using Photoshop to do Sublimation Printing with an Epson Printer. I tried to install a new ICC profile to correct some issues she's having with her printing. She is usin g Windows 11. I tried installing the profile, both by doing a right-click and "install profile" and by copying the file into the folder C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color. When I go in to Print Setytings and tell Photoshop to let Photoshop manage the color, the ICC profile does not show up no matter what I do. I've restarted the program after install. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Rebooting. Nothing will work. Can anyone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

@Patrick30925108cikr I opened the profile you sent, according to Steve Uptons " Swiss Army Knife" of ICC profiles, Colorthink Pro

- the internal name appears to be just "ET-2850" so you should just see "ET-2850" in Photoshop, that’s pretty poor work by the folk who supplied that ICC profile to you to use such an informative name - and leave you to try discover that yourself

I could rename it for you and return by email if it would be useful

I hope this helps

Kevin,

It's called Hiipooo ink & hipoo paper. It's from the manufacturer that makes her sublimation ink.

@Patrick30925108cikr This is in Print/Photoshop manages color I presume?

You could be seeing the issue where the "internal profile name" which is displayed in Photoshop differs from the filename of the ICC profile visible in the filesystem. Why profile makers do this escapes me but they do it all the time

this might fix it :

Andrew Shepherd's ICC Profile Toolkit:

Andrew Shepherd's nifty ICC Profile Toolkit which displays the internal icc/icm description

Yes it is under Photoshop manages color. I installed the program but I'm not sure if it's not working, or if I just don't know what I'm looking for. Do I need to change something with File Explorer settings in order to be able to see this?

@Patrick30925108cikr sorry, but I'm not a Windows guy. I guess you just run it, open the profile and view the external and internal names. I've not tested it - so I should write: "at your own risk" - it was recommended on DPD Review, a forum I looked at researching this for you.

How it looks on a Mac:

If you like use the contact link on my website and send me the Hiipoo profile so I can take a look at it - I could not find it in a web search

hope this helps

Pleasure Patrick, good to be able to help.

Maybe you'd mark my answer as correct so others can see the solution that worked

That should work

I've had a look at the Hiipoo site and it doesn’t mention ICC profiles there. What is the "profile" you have installed?

Please see my other message and send it to me if you'd like me to look at it
