Image changes not showing on canvas

As per here Photoshop CC 2018: Image changes don't show on screen or in navigator | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Any changes made on an image don't update on-screen until I change tools in the tool palette basically.

I'm having the same problem, I *think* since the recent June update however I'm running Windows 10 so it's not related to RightFont as per the link even though the symptoms are all the same. The other difference is that Photoshop won't shut down properly, if I try and  close it any normal way it freezes - the only way to close it is with the task manager.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and also tried installing older versions of Photoshop but the problem persists.

Has anyone else experienced this and know how to resolve?

Watching!

But you still might want to report it at the above link so Pete.Green can track it.

Hi devartnz,

If you're running into this on Win, it's unlikely it's RightFont like the previous issue was.

If it's happening on multiple versions of Photoshop, it's unlikely that it was the June release and possibly due to some other change on the system.

Do you use any other sort of font manager?

Do you have any antivirus or system checking software on the system that might be conflicting somewhere?

Do you have Wacom drivers installed even though you're not using the tablet?

What about other tablet drivers?

Have you tried restoring Photoshop preferences?

Reset Photoshop preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-trouble-shooting-steps.html#prefs

Give that a try and get back with more detail when you can.

Regards,

Pete

Did you create and send the photoshop_debug_output.txt to Pete Green as per the link you posted?

Do you use a Wacom tablet?

As Pete says, it's a known bug, and they are trying to solve it.

Given what I read on that thread even though it's presenting the same I suspected my issue is different (all the people on that thread are on Mac/OSX and using the RightFont app it looks like). I cannot follow Pete Green's instructions as they are for OSX (not to mention the link he has posted is no longer available). From what I read on that thread they think they've solved it already (issue with RightFont on OSX)? Which obviously doesn't help me with this new issue...

I'm not using a Wacom tablet.

Also I don't have an account on that particular website which is why I have posted here in the hopes that someone with this issue on Windows might know more.

Thanks for your reply :-)

I think you should be able to log in over there with your Adobe ID, too.
