Image processor does not upres?

Advocate ,
Sep 20, 2024 Sep 20, 2024

I've used image processor many times, I had some images and want them all about 750 on longer size  with all of them clearing 600 px min at least.  Finally gave up  as I put 750 and 750 in each box, height and width, too many came out with below 600 px.

How tell image processosor you want all images to be above  600 on each side?

Also is there a preference there to say you want then all to be above or below a certain file size? don't see that.  Or only does pixel height/ width?

Also what happened to Adboe forums, now called eco system  not PHotoshop?  Is bridge forum still around, if I have a Bridge quesiton? Thanks!

@larry45

• The Image Processor script does "Fit Image" using enlargement.

• No, the resize is based on pixels, not the final desired file size on disk.

• The Photoshop forum was renamed to Photoshop Ecosystem to "hopefully helpfully indicate"* that this is for Desktop and also iPad and Web versions of the software.

* YMMV

I answered your question that it can fit to a larger specified dimension, I tested before replying to make sure.

The links that I supplied are alternative batch processing scripts that you could try if you continue to have problems with Image Processor.

Yeah, tried to upres in that image processor came short...  no stomach to try new tools,  I just do it then one by one manually.

The other option is to record an action to upsize and then run it via Image Processor (not using fit) or alternatively via Automate > Batch.
