Images automatically zooming to 600% or more

I'm editing 200+ images, so I usually have 3 or 4 open in tabs at the same time. Every time I switch to a different image tab, it displays at at least 600% magnification, regardless of the zoom level it was when I last left it. This never used to happen and it's very annoying!

What is going on and how can I get the zoom level to stay where I put it/left it, (or maybe at least make it automatically "fit in window" when I switch tabs)?

I'm on an HP Omen with a Nvida graphics card, (planty of RAM on both) running Windows 10 and Photoshop 22.2.0 with all the latest updates.

Thanks for any suggestions or insight!
